Microsoft announced that on July 15, they will launch Equipt, which will combine Word, as well as Excel. The new online version of Office will cost $69.99 per year and will be available on the U.S. only. When someone signs up for a subscription, it will allow a user to operate the software on up to 3 personal computers. Microsoft will also allow users to save documents online thanks to the Office Live workspace. Microsoft does not believe that the subscription-based Office offering will have any impact on sales of the regular Office. Source: ChattahBox
