SANDY, Utah - The much-maligned Red Bulls accomplished a feat that their most fervent supporters have only dreamed about: they reached the MLS Cup for the first time in franchise history. Dave van den Bergh provided all of the scoring the Bulls needed and they survived an assault on their goal over the last 30 minutes by a desperate Real Salt Lake side to register a 1-0 victory Saturday night in the Western Conference final, continuing their rather improbable run. They will face the Columbus Crew in Carson, Calif., a week from Sunday for the championship.
