Washington (dbTechno) - President-elect Barack Obama has big plans for when he actually gets to take office, with one of them being a new health care plan which many experts feel will greatly expand health insurance coverage.

Currently there are 47 million Americans without health insurance, a number that is far too high.

Barack Obama is proposing a new health care system and hopes to have it in place soon after he takes office.

Under the new system, more people who cannot afford health insurance may be able to be covered through their employer, or the government.

Obama is going to make his push with his own version of a universal health care plan.

The idea behind it is to get businesses to lower health insurance premiums and such for employees.

If they opt to not give health insurance to the employees, they will have to pay into a government fund that will then offer health insurance.

Experts feel that it is going to cost the government around $50 billion each year, but would bring forth major long-term benefits.
