Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is confident he and his team-mates can become the first team to successfully defend the UEFA Champions League. No side has retained the prized trophy since the competition was revamped from the European Cup in 1992. But United, who won the tournament with a penalty shoot-out success over Chelsea in Moscow last season, now have the opportunity to make history after eliminating Arsenal 4-1 in this term's semi-finals on Tuesday.
