The Wizards offered him a maximum deal of $127 million on Tuesday, but he turned it down. He decided to give back $16 million to the team so they can invest it in getting other players to help them win. This was just a few days after the Wizards resigned Antawn Jamison to a four-year, $50 million deal Arenas has averaged 22.8 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game in his 7-year NBA career.
