Bills waive injured tight end EverettThe Sports Network 5/13/2008 10:39:45 AMText SizeOrchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills have waived tight end Kevin Everett, who has made a remarkable recovery from a serious neck injury he suffered in the 2007 regular-season opener. Everett was hurt on September 9 against Denver while trying to make a tackle during the second-half kickoff. He hit Domenik Hixon with his helmet and immediately fell face-first to the turf. Following the hit, Everett did not have any movement below his shoulders, but regained some mobility in his arms and legs after undergoing a four-hour surgical procedure.
